Information You Send Directly
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is handled by the outside provider that supplies search results. Whitehall Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those searches on its own servers. A message sent to us contains only what the sender includes, and we use it to respond.
Routine Visit Data
Hosting services create ordinary logs, such as IP address, browser type, visited pages, and timestamps. We review this at an aggregate level to maintain the service and understand general readership. Cookies or comparable tools may be used for basic analytics and, where relevant, advertising measurement.
How Limited Data Is Used
Limited data supports operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and content maintenance. We do not sell lists of visitors or build individual visitor profiles.
External Services and Links
Links lead to county and state portals, library collections, archives, and outside search services. The policy of that destination, rather than this one, governs information submitted there. Sponsored results are also supplied by an outside provider.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Vendors that host or support the site may process the routine logs described above. Analytics and advertising partners may receive comparable automatic data. Disclosure outside those functions occurs only when valid legal process requires it.
Safeguards and Retention
The service uses an encrypted connection, and routine logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. Because the site has no accounts, it does not hold a visitor password or account profile.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not target children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Contact us if a minor has sent information so it can be removed.
Your Information Choices
Depending on place of residence, a visitor may have rights to request access, correction, or deletion of data a service keeps. No broad Ohio consumer data-broker deletion law was verified in the research used here. Since this service retains very little, a request generally involves checking the contact mailbox and routine logs, then removing material found there. Use the Contact page to ask. Public records held by Ohio, Franklin County, or Whitehall custodians remain under those custodians' control.
Changes to This Policy
Changes will appear on this page. Continued use after publication means the revised policy applies.
